1. Read this before you buy
Crypto assets are high risk. This page explains the main risks of buying, holding or using $WAR in plain language. It is not a complete list. If you do not understand these risks, do not buy $WAR.
2. You can lose everything
The price of $WAR can fall sharply or go to zero. There is no guarantee of any return, and there is no guarantee that you will be able to sell. Only use money you can afford to lose completely.
3. Price volatility
Crypto prices move fast, often for reasons unrelated to a project's progress, such as market sentiment, large holders selling, broader crypto market crashes or news. Past performance, including past highs, says nothing about the future.
4. Low liquidity and slippage
$WAR currently trades with a small liquidity pool and low daily volume. This means:
- relatively small trades can move the price significantly;
- large orders can suffer heavy slippage, so you receive much less than the quoted price;
- at times there may be few or no buyers at the price you want.
5. The 9% transaction tax
Every buy and every sell of $WAR carries a 9% tax built into the contract (3% burned, 6% to development and operations). On a buy followed by a sell, you pay it twice. This makes short-term trading expensive. Set your slippage to 9%. If the price moves while your transaction is pending, it can fail and still cost gas.
6. Burns do not guarantee value
The 3% burn permanently reduces supply, but reducing supply does not by itself make a token more valuable. Price depends on demand. If demand falls, the price can fall even while supply shrinks.
7. Smart contract and blockchain risk
Smart contracts can contain bugs or behave in unexpected ways, even when reviewed or audited. Because ownership of the $WAR contract is renounced, no one can fix the contract if a problem is found. BNB Smart Chain itself can suffer outages, congestion, high fees or other failures.
8. Liquidity lock risk
Around 99% of the $WAR/BNB PancakeSwap liquidity is locked with UNCX, a third-party locker. Locks have terms and dates set when they are created. A lock reduces risk but does not remove it. You can check the lock details yourself on UNCX and BscScan.
9. Wallet, scam and human-error risk
You are responsible for your own wallet. Common ways people lose funds include:
- sharing a seed phrase or private key, or storing it insecurely;
- sending tokens to the wrong address or on the wrong network;
- buying a fake token that uses the $WAR name. Always check the contract address:

Blockchain transactions are final. We cannot reverse, refund or recover them.
10. Third-party platform risk
Exchanges, DEXs, wallets and trackers are run by independent companies. They can fail, be hacked, freeze accounts, delist tokens or change their fees without notice. We do not control them.
11. Regulatory risk
Crypto regulation is changing in Nigeria and around the world. In Nigeria, the Investments and Securities Act 2025 brings virtual and digital assets under the oversight of the Securities and Exchange Commission. New laws, rules or enforcement could restrict how $WAR is listed, traded, promoted or used, or affect its value. Some countries prohibit or restrict crypto entirely.
12. Project and execution risk
Water Rabbit is an early-stage project with a small team. Its long-term goal is for $WAR to work as a medium of exchange, unit of account and store of value. That is an ambition, not a fact or a guarantee. Products may not be adopted, partnerships may end, roadmap items may be delayed or cancelled, and the project could fail.
13. Tax
Buying, selling, swapping or spending crypto may create tax obligations where you live. You are responsible for understanding and paying your own taxes. Get advice from a qualified tax professional.
14. No advice
Nothing on this Site, our social channels, WARCAST, the WAR Library or WarGuard is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Statements by team members or community members are personal opinions. Make your own decisions and, where appropriate, speak to a licensed professional.
