1. Who is responsible
Water Rabbit Labs is responsible for personal data handled through waterrabbittoken.com. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA). Contact us at [email protected].
This policy covers this website only. Our other products, including WarGuard (waraguard.app), have their own privacy policies.
2. The short version
This Site does not have accounts, sign-up forms or analytics trackers, and we do not sell personal data. We only receive what is needed to deliver the site, plus anything you choose to send us by email.
3. What we collect
- Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, name (if given) and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and keep a record of the conversation.
- Technical data. Like every website, our hosting and security providers automatically process basic technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure and fix errors.
We do not collect wallet addresses, seed phrases or private keys through this Site. We will never ask for your seed phrase.
4. Service providers
The Site relies on a few providers that process technical data on our behalf or when your browser loads their content:
- Namecheap, which hosts the Site;
- Cloudflare, which provides DNS, caching and security (for example, protection against attacks and email-address obfuscation);
- Google Fonts, which serves the fonts used on the Site. Your browser connects to Google to load them, which shares your IP address with Google.
Some of these providers are based outside Nigeria, so data may be processed abroad. They are established providers with their own security and privacy commitments.
5. Cookies
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this Site. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies to tell real visitors apart from bots. These do not track you for marketing purposes.
6. Links to other sites
The Site links to other services, such as PancakeSwap, WarGuard, Telegram, WhatsApp and X. When you follow those links, their own privacy policies apply, not this one.
7. Why we use data (lawful basis)
We process technical data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website. We process emails you send us so we can respond to you, which is also a legitimate interest, or a step you have asked us to take. Where the law requires consent, we will ask for it.
8. How long we keep it
We keep emails for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping, then delete them. Technical logs are kept by our providers for a limited time under their own policies.
9. Your rights
Under the NDPA, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data, where we have no lawful reason to keep it;
- restrict or object to how we use your data;
- withdraw consent, where we relied on it.
Email [email protected] to make a request. We will respond within the time the law requires. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
10. Security
We use reputable providers and sensible measures to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
The Site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example if we add new features to the Site. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
